Hi Guys
Is there a neutral position between the on/off position of the CDL?
When I rotate it with a 10 mm wrench it feels like 3 positions.
When I connect up the shifter it seems like I don't have enough travel to disengage the CDL.
I havnt swapped it into the truck yet so no light.
Thanks
Micko

There is a neutral position between high & low,,, but no neutral position between CDL, it's either locked or not, can't set it half way, what kind of linkage are you going to use for it, one from a 04 will be very straight forward instal,,
If using a D1 linkage, you have to adjust it to work properly,,

From manual per CDL cable adj., may help.

CAUTION: Should the lever move past the
detent, allow it to move back into the non
differential lock detent position before
adjusting the cable.

Its an 04 linkage that came with the 04 case. I had it in my mind that there was a neutral there for some reason & thought i didn't have enough travel to disengage.
Thanks

I just installed an 04 shifter in mine back in January. I didn't have to adjust anything. Just make sure the opening on the mounting plate clears the shift lever as it moves from side to side in both low range and high range.
