The lights will still be in the cluster.
Some of the non-cdl cars have a harness that can be plugged into the switch, if you decide to swap your case. Some do not, and you have to splice into the harness.

Just wanted to give an update. Got the new switch in today, and that was the problem. I guess my original had failed. Now the CDL and light engage properly. Boy those little electrical terminals are fragile. I broke the first and had to order another. Glad to have it fixed. I also got a much better seal with some RTV silicon now on the shifter plate. It's nice and quiet now.

Yes I would say so... I manually set mine (while front driveshaft was off) Here is the light on the dash... Does not come on until you engage the transmission.
