I have a D2 with the same problem. Here's how to get out of park easy.Pop and prop up the black cover on the center console. All the space you will need is about a 1/2 inch.now, get out of the car and shine your trusty flash-lite into that space. You will see the end of the solenoid rod.It is about a 1/4 inch round and sets in the hole that locks the shifter in the lock position.A little wiggle of the shifter will help you know what we are talking about. The object of all this, is to depress that point with a 1/4" anything dowel, stick, pencil) while you have te key on and the brake pedal depressed. Now you can take it out of park .Since you will have to do this every-time you put it in park,I suggest(safety issue here) that you go to neutral and set the emergency brake when you stop.I use a piece of tape to align the dowel etc with the end of the shaft;however, you will have to go to Park to retrieve your key from the ignition.God bless

Brake switch was my issue. 10 minutes of work and $11 at advance auto fixed it.
