Default Center muffler

Has anyone taken the center muffler off? What is the purpose of it? If it is common to remove this what is the popular setup? I know in diesel this type of set up is not good if you have a turbo.

The one in the center is the muffler and then one at the end is the resoniator. You can remove the resinator. But why?

You can't do much because the computer won't see much without spending big $$. A few have taken off the resonator on back for sound, just remember to turn the tip down, or you may loose a light off your bumper.

Here's a clip of mine...

Yeah, there are no engine mods for these trk's, you will need a whole new ECU plus your mods.
If you want a sports car then you need to buy one, cuz' you ain't doin' it in a Rover.

okdicoguy, I triedthe linkit made it to youtube but it said there was a "malformed videoID". I am not lookingto make a Trophey Truck or looking for heavy mods. The Discogets no mods but a muffler other than stock will help it flow better I will do it when it needs to be replaced. The resoniatorhas seen better days its working on a rust hole on the bottom. If it serves no other purpose other than to hold heat and hold the noise down it wont get replaced with another. I have no need for speed.

I took the resonator off of mine and replaced the the stock muffler with an imitation of a flowmaster 50 series for $125 in Wilmington. You wanna hear it, let me know.
