It ran like crap through the whole rpm range but at idle it would shudder and miss...more noticeable.

What state are you in?

Yeah I'm thinking if it were my cps it would run crappy throughout all rpm but it doesn't just rough stumble idle.

Find a junkyard with one in it, take that one and switch it just for giggles.

See what happens.

I'm in PA, there's always a rover in my yards here.

Are we going too far this time? Hehehe. You guys might be correct but have not seen yet a case of CkPS as one of a major issues when it comes to misfires. Are the wires and coil packs a long shot with the symptoms youre having right now? Just my opinion from having same or worst issues with my discos as well but never thought of the CkPS, but it could be. Cheers

I need to do wires I suppose but same question with wires, wouldn't it miss and run bad throughout all RPMs?

This is too ironic to be something other than plugs. I'm gonna try a different set.

Ok swapped plugs again now misfire on 1 and 6. I'm assuming coil pack going bad. Time for coils and wires. Where is good place to get these? Also heard to go with 8mm wires.

7mm vs 8mm on these engines with standard coils = makes zero difference. I’ve run STI, NGK, Magnacore, Kingsborne, and even cheapies in a pinch. The cheapies aren’t as high of quality as the STI, Kingsborne, or Magnacore, but I’ve installed them in a few customer D2’s and they lasted several years. Then when they died they just got a free replacement set from Auto Zone or Oreilly’s. I prefer STI of Kingsborne myself.

The last Ebay coils I got the pair for 25-30.00 were made by QTI if I’m not mistaken. I had to use a dremel on the OEM bracket to widen em just a bit, but it took me maybe 5min to fix, after that zero issues.
