Changing Brakes....tires wont budge!
Yea.... I felt like an idiot when I couldnt even figure out how to get the wheels off of the disco considering I was installing my OME lift. I didnt look through the entire topic but here is what I did.
1) Went to autozone and purchased a 27 or 28mm (call land rover) socket
2) move the socket around to see where it gets the best hold on the aluminum over the lugnut
3) tapped (and sometimes whacked) the wrench with a rubber mallet far enough to get a good fit
4)before the entire lugnut is off, take off the wrench and either wiggle or tap (or whack) the socket off
5) repeat
6) same deal when putting them back on
Hope this helps

I recently encountered a front wheel that was frozen to a hub. I beat it with a mallet and ended up breaking the handle...then I had a minor stroke of genius.
I tightened the lugnuts back onto the studs, very loosely. Dropped the rig back down onto the ground and moved the steering wheel from left to right. Jacked it back up and pulled the wheel off without effort.
