Default changing oil

Hi everyone, I just bought my disc II and I need to change my oil. I read somewhere that I need to drain the oil and then fill the oil and then change out the filter. If this is the right order please let me know.

Yes that is correct. doing it that way is supposed to keep the oil pump from loosing its prime. I have never had a oil pump loose its prime but who knows.
Drain the old oil, refill with new oil, then change the filter.

The other thing you can do is to drain the oil pan, then replace the oil filter using either a K&N 3001 or a Mobil1-301 that is full of oil before you thread it onto the engine. I have done this for 9 years or so and never had a dry start.
Make sure you use a good filter and change your regular oil every 3000 miles or your synthetic oil every 5000 miles.
