Default Cheap Bumper

I installed a cheap steel rear bumper on the back of my Disco and its’s pushed the trim pieces off. Has anyone fabbed up some metal pieces that replace the plastic pieces surrounding the corners that could possibly tie into a bumper? This bumpers probably going to get replaced once I get moved and get time to build the style I want; would like to see some different ideas first though.

Are these metal or plastic? I can’t really tell from the site.
