Default Cheap P38 rims?

I've noticed that sets of used factory wheels are dead cheap in the UK. Like less than $200 for a set of 16" rims AND tires. I've scoured ebay and various websites for this kind of deal in the U.S. but basically I can get steelies for less. I don't want steelies, I want some aluminum 16X7 p38's. Does anyone have a beed on a shop or sight that has these kinds of deals?

The Hurricane wheel was used on both Range and Disco toward the end IIRC and the ANR6316 5-Spoke Star (HSE?) was used earlier, but these are 18" so I'm not sure which specific wheel you are looking for. You may wish to try your local boneyard but I imagine bespoke P38 wheels are going to be a rarity. The Range also used a wheel that sort of resembles a Porsche 911 Cup wheel that I think is 16" - maybe you are looking for these?

I would search for a RR non-runner (or barely-runner) that has the wheels you want, buy it cheap, grab the wheels and then scrap the rest -- you may end up with a set of free or almost free wheels.

Don't look at ebay, etc for a set of cheap used wheels. Shipping kills the deal every time. Check craigslist, online forum classifieds, etc. A few years back, I bought a set of 5 16" rims (no tires) from a p38 for $100 cash. There's a guy on my local craigslist who has about a million rover wheels in pictures, and is advertising pretty cheap prices. Could also try u-pull yards (LKQ, etc). Forget about shipping them around.

depends on where you are, but I just picked up a set of 16" factory wheels (all 5) for $233 shipped to my door.

West coast has a lot of them. Dunno about back east.
