Maybe someone can shed some light on this. I notice if I need to give my 2001 DiscoII a bunch, like merging into traffic on the highway some times my check engine light (Service Engine Soon) will come on. The check engine light does not blink, its steady. Eventually the following day under normal driving conditions the light will go off. What could be causing this? I use high octane gas (93).... Is there any additives needed to clean the heads or carburetor.
