Check Engine/Parking Lights not working
I recently bought a 2004 Disco II and I realize most Rover owners would be happy if their check engine light was not working, but I think the guy I bought mine from disabled it, and in the meantime a few of the other warning lights (Parking brake, etc). Also, the instrument cluster doesn't illuminate. Some of the other warning lights in the instrument cluster are working, but Check engine (mine should be on) and parking brake certainly are not. How can I fix this? Fuses look good.
Unfortunately some dealers/people actual go to the bother of breaking the LED rather than fix the problem, hopefully this is not the cause.

I'm fairly certain this is the case. I wonder if the parking brake and check engine light share a bulb or something. That's what I'm trying to figure out. When I turn the key to the on position, a few of the warning light come on, then turn off as they're supposed to after a few seconds, but neither of these do and I bet they're not the only ones not working
