You are perpetuating the same behavior that you say you take offense to. It makes it difficult to understand your point. It seems like your point is "hate speak is bad, unless approved by early, then it is okay"

It's funny how the Peace Loving, Anti-Racist, Anti-Bullying Liberal Movement calls Conservative Republicans and Tea Partiers; Tea Baggers, *****, Terrorists, Jihadists, Hostage-Takers, Extremists, Racists, and White Trash. And, they wish all Conservatives would die horrible deaths after being disfigured first.

I guess I should stop perpetuating this thread. It's just frustrating that we all are being told to be tolerant and let everyone live their lives as they wish, unless you are a White Christian Conservative Male, then you are WRONG! In so many ways...

The media constantly pummels the White Christian Conservative, and nobody has any problem with that. But if a White Christian Conservative disagrees with the President's Policies, they are immediately labeled a Racist Hate Monger! Never mind the fact that Obummer is only HALF black. I don't care one bit that he's half black, I only care that he's inept. And for the record, I was no fan of the two previous Presidents either.

 

I think most mainline talking heads are the only people throwing names at each other instead of having a decent conversation about how to fix the mess we happen to be in.

However I am getting a vibe that you are being TOLD that you are being persecuted for being a white christian conservative male more than you actually are. I'm white and I keep my religious views to myself, so I don't get any ups or downside because of my religion. As long as you don't think your beliefs give you higher ground or a step up over a Muslim, a Jew, a Buddhist, a Sikh, an Atheist, etc., then it doesn't really matter what you believe. I think what happens is people are tired of having to kow tow to some one just because of their beliefs and some christians aren't used to that, and cannot grasp that idea, so they believe it to be persecution.

The reason people don't take many of those groups seriously is because they call the president "OBUMMER" and continually push the already debunked story of his Kenyan birth, and the kicker is hearing how he is a Muslim. If I had to hazard a guess, Obama is an agnostic or a non-practicing christian, but anyways that is besides the point, if you look into the constitution, the same exact one that gives us as Americans the right to bear arms, it also says we are allowed to practice whatever religion we want, with no interference from the government.

Start talking about WHY he hasn't been a good president instead of telling me that he isn't and its because he put "muslim prayer curtains" in the East room (there is no such thing as muslim prayer curtains, btw, and those curtains have been there since at least Ford, considered yourself informed next time you see that stupid meme). Trust me, the dude has been terrible if you are a military member, but I understand the issues and I disagree with him, but as a military member, he remains my commander and chief and until constitution changes, I will follow his orders.

And I've really only heard the term "teabagger" used as derogatory term by talking heads on the news station, just as much as we hear Libtard or whatever.

The bottom line is, the news media all have spin, they are either far right or far left and they try to put the worst image of the other side they can. If we talk with each other and try to work together we all realize we want a better America, but we happen to have a better plan of attack. That is something that we lose sight of far too often.

I'm very fiscally conservative but more of an old school liberal socially (you know, how the GOP used to be), or some may say libertarian, but I don't consider myself one. I found the original ad funny and I did not think it was particularly offensive or the poster to be indicative of all people from Texas (which I have been to, though it was Austin, which I was told is more of a liberal town, at least for the area).

Lets not get our religious or political views to get in the way of our enjoyment of a hobby and the satisfaction we get from keeping our Disco's on the street and from helping each other do the same.

 

All you need to do is discuss politics and religion on any forum and it's all down hill from there. And you also find out that helpful forum member is your political enemy.
BTW, for those who find any Craigslist ad offensive, there's a "flag" option at the top of every ad. (That ad has been up 27 days so it can't be too offensive )
