check Valve in right valve cover
I’ve had a rear main seal, or that is what it appears to be, leak since the new motor went in. My theory is the clogged separatir/rocker cover which was caked with burnt oil, caused excessive block pressure and blew it. The Valley Pan gasket was distorted up as well.
Since PCV valve mod it appears to be leaking much less oil. Only my observations, but there does seem to be significantly less oil on the ground.

If that thing is clogged you also use way more oil. Carb cleaner down the hole will clear it, while the engine is warm is best and it took abut 6 applications on mine to get it clear.
I’ve yanked that SOB. At times I love LR for designing a great vehicle, then puzzle at things like that separator which is junk IMO.
When I need to remove the valve cover it is gone, no other way on my 04, Now I just give it a squirt of carb cleaner once a month as long as it drains fast I know it is good.
I think it creates pressure clean or dirty, but that is simply an observation since I changed over to the PCV. The plate that sits under the to of the Rocker cover was totally caked with oil on mine. I DON’t think oil or much pressure was getting thru there.
