Don't you know they are taxing your carbon footprint?
They see you driving a fancy Land Rover and assume you are made of money to afford such a luxury. Lol.
Ticketing you because some liberal idiot does not know how to cross a street? You should start a class action against the city for discriminating against a person based on the height of their vehicle.
I am Canadian and still don't understand how people keep swallowing the bigger government down there. At $60 per ticket in Chicago...that's how.
ANARCHY!!!!!!

and the political rant continues...........
i had to laugh at a Canadian condemning our "big government" and "liberal" ways. Doesn't Canada have the so called "socialist" health care? haha, the irony and pathetic blindness in these rants certainly made me laugh, but on a serious note, what does ANY of this have to do with Land Rovers? or are people reaaaaalllly so ignorant to believe a political party or ideology is dead set against Land Rovers? I really hope nobody is really THAT dumb.

IF, Chicago is ticketing parked vehicles over 6 feet then there should be tons of victims, not just Land Rover owners and figuring out a way to organize those people would make a powerful lobby to motivate city to change or end the regulation. It also would provide evidence of vehicles NOT being ticketed despite same violation and that could be used for getting ticket dismissed if there is significant discrepancy in the enforcement of the regulation. Something I wonder is if the officer is actually measuring the vehicle? If they are not, then it would not be too hard to create a bogus tape measure or stick that looks genuine and attach it to vehicle when parking. Of course this thread is so old the regulation may not exist or be enforced anymore. It is funny to read the dire predictions people ignorantly tossed around all those years ago though. Funny stuff now.
