Default Cleaned/Charged battery-Got lights, No Start!

2001 Disco II 102K - The other day I re-wired my rear fog lamp, turned the lights on many times without actually starting the truck to check the lights as I was working on them (rear fog still not working) The next day the truck was dead. I cleaned the batter posts real good and charged the battery. Changed the oil real quick, greased the D/S and found a coolant leak during the charge. After the oil change and a full charge I went to start the truck and got nothing. I checked all fuses and tried again. All the interior/exterior lights work, all dash lights come on but the engine does not turn. The last time I tried it, I had the key turned to the ON position and all my dash lights were just flashing. I have never seen this and have no idea what I did that the truck is not starting at all now. Need it by tomorrow. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Sounds like you've lost a ground. Have you tried boosting it or metering the battery? How the positive connection at the starter? Mine was like that when I first picked it up, it had been stored for years, plopped a battery in it and I had nothing but flashing lights. Cleaned a bunch of grounds, and the main power, then replaced the terminal for the ground at the battery. started right up after that! good luck!

I've had that same sort of problem. For me it was just a bad connection at the battery, it would pass enough current to turn on the lights, but not the starter. All I did was tap the battery terminals with a hammer (don't judge) to drive them a little further onto the tapered posts and BAM. Away I went.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried jumping the battery with a good one? Have you tested to see what sort of voltage you have, have you tried jumping a hot cable to the starter and try starting it?
