Default New chain broke instantly

I will likely post this on the main forum, but I cheaped out with the ebay timing chain. It broke within a second of starting. I spent 40 bucks on it and I am regretting. I did everything to spec. I cant


see what I did wrong.
pic shows how the chain broke, also the damage it did to the cam sensor...

Oh wow. Chains stretch but they rarely break.

Did it actually start and run for a few revolutions? I’m trying to think of what could have jammed. It would have to be in the valve train. I’m not sure if it’s possible to reinstall the cam gear backwards?
