Default CLEARING CODES AFTER SEAFOAM?

Reading old posts here....newby to Land Rover Discovery. I have a 1994 Disco. In shop now for brake line repair (leak) Haven't driven it hardly at all yet, due to almost no brakes due to one circuit leaking.

Considering the SeaFoam induction treatment. An old post remarked that doing the treatment might result in some "codes" that would take a code reader? to clear? Don't have anything like that here. Fairly good shadetree mechanic skills (on older vehicles). Whats the story here? Can I clear codes myself without any further equipment than normal light shop tools and electrical test equipment?

You can take it to auto zone / advance auto and have it cleared. Sometimes free. Or get a code reader, which is about 250 bucks.

I picked up an OBDII code reader/resetter for about $29 at a place called Harbor Freight here in Ohio. I've used it several times now and it works great.

On OBDI, I don't think that Auto Zone canread or clear codes.

On OBDII they can.

If you have the radio code you could as a last resort pull the
negative side of the battery for about 5 mins and that should clear the OBDII codes.

As long as you do the induction properly, you should not trip a code, and if you do, you can clear that code your self if the ECU doesn't clear it after 5 or 6 start cycles.
Do you know how to do the induction cleaning, mighty also flush your crank case and clean the throttle body at the same time.

I have read on this forum how do to the Seafoam induction cleaning, restricting the intake of liquid so as to take 2 to 4 minutes for the engine to draw in the whole can. Would appreciate info on how to do the crank case and throttle body.
