i torn out the useless storage compartment on the right side, across from clock, and replaced with another clock. Much more useful

 

I got a new lamp and holder from the dealer, less than $10 bucks, as I recall, I was waiting for the dealer to program my remotes and they put the lamp in for free. Didn't even need to take out the cup holder, just pulled out the clock assembly and plugged the lamp in the back. Took all of about 60 seconds. Best of Luck! (dealer was San Diego Land Rover, very nice folks, no affiliation). Phil

 

So many lights are out in the interior of my D1. The night is kinda spooky in it.
