Default "Clunk" in the left rear of '00 Discovery II

I have a "clunk" noise coming from what appears to sound like the left rear of my Disco. The sound has gotten progressively worse. This past weekend I was driving some rather twisting roads and each time I went left or right, a knock or clunk was heard. One of my passengers said it sounded like to him like a torsion bar knock.

Where would be the best place to look? The truck has 200K miles, great shape and I'm the 4th owner. No problems with the suspension until this noise.

Thoughts from the forum?

At 200K it could be that your bushings are shot. Mine does the same and that is what I am doing but I am only at 140K. I am sure your sway bar bushings are gone since they do a lot of controlling of the body roll. You can buy generic ones from just about any auto shop that may work. Good Luck.

Found it!! One of the link assemblies for the anti-roll bar (right rear) had broken. I have a new pair on order from Lucky 8. Should be here in a day or two.

Now I'm battling a left front wheel bearing. Ah, the joy of a Land Rover!!!
