Default Slight "clunk" when turning

Hi Guys,

I noticed the other day that when I turn I get a slight clunk. It sound like it is coming from the passenger side front. I checked the shock and spring and they seem fine. You can't really feel it, just hear it, and it only happens once while turning. It seems to happen more when I turn left.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Check to see if you have a torn CV boot.

Crawl under the truck and start re torquing everything that has a bolt/nut including the radius arms.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just checked them and they look fine. No tears.

Can't believe it's been almost 5 years to the day since I first posted this and today I found the problem. Yea, I have been very accepting of the clunk I could never find. And it's not in the front, it's in the back.

Anyway, I was looking at similar posts today and someone posted about testing with the ACE fuse pulled. So I pulled the fuse and no clunk. Went under the car and started pulling on all the ACE stuff. Now, I have done this before, but only in the front. Moving on to the back, first thing I grab is the anti sway (listed as torsion/anti sway in RAVE) and the whole anti sway bar moves about 1/4 inch up and down on both sides. So there you have it, the anti sway links in the rear are the problem.

Figured I would share the answer since it is finally solved. Apologies for bringing back a very old thread!

Now on to the oil leaks....
