Clunking noise when turning and breaking
Hi all,
my 04 D2 is making a clunking noise when I turn and sometimes when I break but mostly turning both directions. I initially thought it was worn ball joints but I just replaced them and the clunking hasn’t stopped. When replacing the BJ I paid attention tie rods, drag link, axle shafts condition and couldn’t really find any smoking gun. I just replaced struts which were still factory ones and noise is still there. My D2 has no rust, California and Texas owned and has only 68k miles, the whole thing looks like new to be honest. The noise is definitely coming from front suspension, driver side clunking is definitely more frequent and prominent than passengers’.
I would like to hear from the community on what should I be looking for? What tests can I do to pinpoint the issue? Thanks in advance for any recommendations
