Default Clutch, gear box problem

Im in need of some urgent advise as to what the problem could be as am driving through Italy with my 1992 Discovery.
I stopped at the traffic lights and was unable to put the car into gear again to set off . I managed to get into 3rd gear only. Can any one advise what it could be and if it will be a big cost.

Thanks

Need more information, do you feel the clutch is causing the problem, if so could be a bad master cylinder or slave. Or are you saying your tranny has lost all it's gears except for 3rd?
How many miles on the truck?

Thanks Mike
The clutch pedal feels OK though it is very hard to put any gear in which is possible if I push the gear stick very hard on starting. However I am unable to change the gears again whilst driving. If when I start the car, turn the key, press the clutch when in gear the car goes it doesn't give the neutral sign when the clutch is pressed.
The car has done 80,000 miles.
Hope this helps, I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to car terms what is the master cylinder and slave?
