Angry Code 1171 and 1174 Help Needed

I keep getting codes 1171 and 1174 about every 20 miles that I drive. I've replaced the MAF sensor but still get the error codes. It occansionaly also gives a misfire code for cylinders 3, 5 or 8. Lost as to what to do next. PLEASE HELP ....

when was the last time you did a maintenance on your truck? what type of MAF did you install? was it a Bosch MAF in a Land Rover box? are you running high octane fuel only? do you have 8mm magnecor wires? bosch +4 plugs?

At 91,500 I had the heads rebuilt, new Bosch 4+ plugs, Magnecor 8mm wires. At 112,000 I replaced all 4 oxygen sensors (the ones from Atlantic British) because I was getting O2 errors. Shortly after the oxygen sensor replacement I started getting the 1174 and 1171 errors. I replaced the MAF (Bosch one from Atlantic British). Did nothing to fix the errors. The frequency is much shorter between codes now. Today I got 4 in about 45 miles. I got the truck with 81,000 on it and have always used premium gas. I have no idea as to what to check next. HELP!!

intake gasket is probably leaking by. I would have the vehicle smoked to make sure there are no leaks.

you have an air leak.

Thanks for the pointer. At the risk of sounding dumb, what is a smoke test and where do I take it to get tested?

Land rover dealership could do it. They will pump smoke into your intake and see where the leaks are.

no no no... you can find a mechanic that will do it at half the cost or less than the dealer. or you can do it yourself with a cheap fog machine from a party store. try and get a colored liquid fog to make it easier to identify where the leak is.
