Default Code 1316

Initially 306 & 305 came along with 1316..changing plugs and wires cleared 305. A faint popping could be heard out the exhaust..sounds great under the hood. My problem is a miss, stutter like running out of gas (occasionally the speedo drops to zero and may or may not start working again when the chugging stops) when reaching 45 & above. Usually only lasts a few seconds. Running injector cleaner every other tank of gas usually works. But am thinking a new injector might be needed on #6. Also, the fuel filter cannot be removed to change it.. I mean it's like somebody welded it on. Wondering about bypassing? Fuel pump is running about 30-34... suggestions?

The DII does not have a fuel filter.

Post a pic of this thing you're addressing as a fuel filter.

There's no fuel filter in the D2? Seriously?

There's one built into the fuel pump inside the fuel tank, but nothing external.

It's true, there is no external fuel filter on a DII.

I replaced our injectors and it felt like a brand new engine.
