Code Confusion
Hey Land Rover Gurus!
I tried to DIY this issue before posting, but I'm at a loss.
I'm getting P0447, P1451 and P1481 on startup in my '04 DII SE. If I clear the codes, I can drive 300 miles with no SES light. As soon as I turn the rover off and restart, they pop again.
Here's the weird part: according to RAVE, P0447 is a CVS issue:

I don't have the CVS system with the black box, I have the little air filter canister system. So I'm basically getting a code for a system I don't have.
I'm not sure what the P1451 and P1481 are, couldn't find them in the RAVE.
I'm guessing I should start with the purge valve, but before I get to spending money, I thought maybe a Rover Guru could weigh in?
Thanks!

Those codes are part of the leak detection system, and after reset they may wait until 2 or 4 drive cycles to pop back up if problem still exists. Start on page 42 of this attachment (original manual page) https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...manuals-48009/, as well as the emission section of the workshop manual
That link is extremely informative, thanks!
At first glance at the documentation, it looks like I have a leak somewhere between the engine and the fuel tank, or I have a malfunctioning pump or pump heater: P1451 (Leak Detection Pump Power Stage) and P1481 (Leak Detection Pump Heater Circuit).
I guess I'll start going downrange from the engine to the fuel tank, maybe hit that pump with a rubber mallet (!!) I'm betting this would be expensive to diagnose at the dealer. Hopefully it's something simple like replacing the air filter canister. I read somewhere on this forum that leaks can happen at the fuel filler neck, too.
Thanks for the awesome link.
