Default Code HELP!!!

Hello All,

New user... Longtime guest!

7 current codes. P0150, P0174, P0300, P0306, P0306, P0305, P0159. All trouble codes that just appeared on my Accu-Gauge. I see it lists P0306 twice. I don't know why.

What I do know ... I have a 6th cyl misfire and my 02 sensors are going haywire.

Truck has 145,000 miles, use 89 octane (I know this is going to haunt me)
Just did oil change with Rotella T6 5W40.

@ 2 weeks ago I did the seafoam trick and smoked out the neighborhood.

Not related... I use Peak global lifetime coolant as per the forums.

Any insight would be appreciated. I

Quick update.... I removed the spark plug in cylinder 6 and found that there was coolant in the spark plug hole. Considering that I painstakingly replaced the HG is it possible that the issue ( Bad HG ) would arise after 25,000 miles with no issue? Could it be a bad Block? Im reading posts that indicate the death of my engine. Im trying to be optimistic.

Well, the bright side is you can now build a killer motor with a performance cam!

Since you did your head gaskets you know the coolant ports are at the front and the back, so #6 would mean crack in the block, in my opinion.

Goodluck. Q&E in Anaheim CA do top hat blocks for $1500.

Ughh!!!! That is my fear! That shop couldn't be any further from me too. lol. I may have to dig a bit to find a reputable NE shop. I don't know if I can put the hours back in to this gem to bring her back. Some long hard thinking to be done...

The shipping charge is around $90 to the east coast.

If you you send your Pistons they will bore match each cylinder to the Pistons and number them.

Is there a definitive way to determine if that is the issue? Can I have the block tested to determine this?

You can pressure test the block. I bought a test kit, but lent it out and can't remember who has it. Search online for Land Rover block test kit, you should find it.

But, I really can't see what else it could be unless 8 has coolant in it as well, and it found its way to 6

Could it be a cracked head? Cracked blocks typically overheat REALLY fast!
Either way, if it's not being driven, I'd pull it apart and find the problem.

it wouldn't be uncommon for the coolant to be coming from one of the number 6 head bolt holes.

That's part of my issue. This is my daily driver. She runs well though. Rough idle at startup due to the coolant in cylinder 6. Once that burns off the truck feels solid. At idle I'm at 203 degrees. In stop and go traffic I'm @208 - 210 with the cooler fan kicking on and dropping the temp. On long trips upstate NY I cruise along as low as 194 ish.
