Coil Pack Firing Order Diagram
Perfectly clear to me since I labeled driver and passenger sides of the coil packs there is only one orientation that makes since for US drivers and that would be from the position of looking from the driver seat out towards engine. I kept that same perspective whhen I drew the engine. The one from LRD2 I find confusing since the numbers for the coil pack top and bottom are reversed geometrically. It is not until I read that the top is on the bottom and the bottom is on the top that I get it.

If I'm standing in front of the truck -- as one tends to be when one is changing the coil packs -- then a view from the driver's seat requires some mental inversion.
I used the diagrams provided by LRD2 when I did mine because they're explicit about every aspect. While it might look like the coil packs are inverted, that's how they are orientated when they're lying on top of the lower intake when you're about to install them.
"Driver" and "passenger" also aren't necessarily explicit since these trucks come in both LHD and RHD, and this is an international site.
I wasn't meaning to offend; I just didn't find them to be any clearer than the several other versions that I had already seen, and there was room for interpretive error.

Hey listen... The best thing about this forum is the accuracy and promptness of replies that help guys like me get and keep their Rovers on the road. I am not offended at all. Passion around getting correct information out in this forum is important. We can all agree about that.
