Firing Order (1996 Discovery 4.0)
The book I have has the wrong firing order for a engine with a coil pack. My Disco has a 4.0 and I need the number sequences.
Standing at the front of the engine where is the number 1 cylinder? And what is the numbering of each bank? Does the coil read from left to right
or from right to left?

The # 1 is pulley end of left bank.( U.S. driver side)
Left bank is 1-3-5-7.
Right bank is 2-4-6-8.
The coil pack from left to right is 1-6-5-8-7-4-3-2.
Just go right across the line.
The coil pack is different than the Disco II.
