Default coil pack mounting

My coilpacks were only secured with the top 2 bolts.

I got 2 replacement bolts for the lower holes only to find that the holes in the pack bracket doesn't line up...the fuel rail prevents the pack from moving into alignment.

Is it fine to just mount the packs with the upper bolts?

Yep, the ECU supplies the grounds to operate the coils, no earth thru the bracket. Some where I saw a pix of someone who had relocated the coils.

Or take a little more time and remove the SAI pipe so you can do a complete reinstall.

The upper intake and sai pipe were off when I tried to align. Maybe it is supposed to be a little tilted?

If anyone has any good, sound thoughts about relocating the coil pacs, please share it. I would love to relocate them, so any human being could change wires without having to get an act of Congress!
