this looks really cool and makes makes replacement easier but it seems like allot of extra work for .... i mean how many times you need to change the coil packs on these cars? Mines a 2000. Same coil packs. Never changed no problems.

Hey guys, I'm in a jam. Recently was rear ended. Now with a misfire on cylinder #5. Pretty sure the coil may have taken a hit. Taking the Disco on our honeymoon in just a few weeks and not a lot of time to work on it with the laundry list of stuff.

Planning on replacing the coils and would like to do the relocation. Don't see the kits on ebay any longer and no reply from Gerry on his youtube channel.

If anyone has made their own coil harness extension looms, please point me in the direction of the proper JPT connectors. I can fab a mount, but would certainly entertain a complete kit if Gerry pops back up that he has any in stock.

Thanks in advance for any help! Cheers! John

That's a shame. I know some folks likely made their own kits, so am hoping someone on here has some insight for me.

Thanks for that feedback. :-). I wasn't sure there was enough slack in the stock harness to get in there and extend those plugs.

Default ignition coil relocation Disco 2 secondary air

hello all,

2003 Disco 2 134,000 miles. I have decided to do this and have one simple question. Without removing the plenum all I need to do is release the connectors on the 2 coils and attach
them to the new wiring harness. Correct? How difficult is it to release those connectors? How far down is the coil located on the firewall? I have read that if I modify a screwdriver (bend it) I can accomplish this? No mechanic in NYC wishes to do this. Everyone wishes to remove the plenum and charge big money.

Thank you and B well,
Jeff
