I know that i'm never putting the system back in and messing with it, and that is highly unlikely that I'll ever sell it someone that would pay me a little more if I left the parts there so they could bring it back.

So, just take the compressor out. You'll still want to pull the underhood fuses and relays related to SLS (1 of each I believe) and you'll have the SLS light on your dash (unless you want to pay a dealer or someone with testbook/t4 $80-$170 to reprogram your truck to coils). However, its as easy as taking off the 2 screws holding the cover on, removing the 2 bolts holding it in place, and disconnecting the 3 electrical connectors and 2 or 3 air lines. Zip tie the remaining lines up and out of the way and you're done. Now you've lost some extra weight and can sell the compressor. My .02
But yes, if you can easily save your system and can afford it, keep it.

A testbook or Hawkeye is needed to shut off the SLS warning lights after you unplug the compressor, you just have to change the BCU to read you truck as a coil spring unit instead of a SLS equipted unit.

Just to clarify, I can disconnect my compressor and the only problem will be that I will have the SLS indicator light up on my dash but not actual problem existing, correct?

Nope, only rear: Land Rover Discovery II Rear Air Suspension & Coil Spring Kit - Land Rover Parts & Accessories At Atlantic British

Why not buy a truck without it to begin with? Are you looking for a 7 passenger?
