Default The cold killed my battery

Hey guys. Here in NJ it has been about 15 degrees the past couple of days and I had noticed that my truck was having a bit of a problem starting (would labor to kick over and the lights on the dash would go a little eratic for a second). Anyway I went out this morning and sure enough the thing would not start. I put the headlights on and tried starting it just to make sure it was the battery and they would go completely off when the truck tried to kick over (so as I have read on here, that means the battery). Anyway, I wanted to know which battery is the best to buy for the D2's. Also, other then going to advanced auto to have the alternator checked is there anything else I should look out for. Thanks alot.

Most seem to recommend Optima yellow top as the "best", but depending on your budget that may not be the "best" for you. Advance has an 800 cca w/3 year free replacement for around 80 bucks.

If you are not using a winch I would lean more towards the Red Top instead of the Yellow top, by the way I have two yellow Tops, but for your needs the Red Top is less money and will do a good job. Costco is a good place to find them as well as Auto Zone.
