Default Cold weather - heater = no bueno

Hi All,

So my heater died the other day, just as it started to snow (of course). I have no idea what it is and I looked here on the forum to see if anyone had the same issues but I couldn’t find anything. I do apologize if this is a redundant post!

Anyhow, my heater motor works as it’s blowing air but the heat is non existent. The AC works beautifully but that’s not what I need. What are your thoughts??

Thank you from my igloo.

Barring anything wrong with the actual coolant/heater core there is a servo activated flap that mixes cool air and heater air in whatever proportion is needed to get the temperature you want. If the servo failed in such a position that the flap is blocking air flow to the heater core that would explain why the AC works but no heat.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll take a look at it. It seems fairly easy to pull out the assembly.
