it was a tight squeze but not too difficult. you have to take out your center console take the gear selector out which will slide out of your way without diconnecting the cable. below it to the passenger side is a round cover with 4 bolts and a wire coming out of it. unplug the wires, take four bolts out, pry cover off (i used the arch the wires came out of to pry it but this may damage wires, if planning to leave it out it wont matter) pull the solenoid out, clean the cover, clean the mating surface on the top of the tranfercase, trying not to get anything inside. put a good ring off rtv silicone around the cover, put it back on and bolt it down. put everything back together.
