Guys, I started to look into getting tie-rod ends cause my present ones show a little play and I'd like to change them before ''HAVING'' to change them.

Problem is that finding exactly what I need seems somewhat puzzling, since different sites and parts suppliers seem to give different information about which to get. Some say that the the very same part applies to DIIs from 1999 to 2004. Others state that the 2000 D2 has one short tie-rod and one long tie-rod, where the others have shorts only.

What gives ??? My Disco is a 2000 sold in automn 1999.

I'd normally call my local dealer's parts counter, but the parts guy there is new and I actually know more than he does, which in that case means zilch.

 

I am planning on buying my next tie rod and drag link from rovertracks.com. They look like a very heavy duty set. They also use the D90 tie rod ends which appear to be built better than the stock ones. Im not sure what the shipping would be up north but I would consider them.
