Default Converting an SE7 to SE or HSE rear cargo area

Anyone removed the rear seats from an SE7 and convert to the HSE or SE rear cargo area. Is it a big hassle? I sure could use the extra room since I rarely have a need for the small jump seats in the back. Thanks in advance!

I did this not too long ago. If you care about having both storage bins in the back you will need to cap off and remove the rear AC if equipped. I had an SE parts truck that I swapped all the part with. See my build thread for pics and steps.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to insulate the roof when I pull down the headliner. I don mind removing everything and capping off the rear ac.

I just took the seats out of my 01 SE7....MUCH more room, and less banging around.....

I did not install the bins. I do not have rear AC.

I want the bins. I'll start looking for them and all the parts I need. I'll block off the rear ac unit. I'll probably save weight also by removing the jump seats. Maybe I can find a parts truck that has a clean interior.
