Default Coolant ?

I have an 2004Disco 2 SEw/ 44K, I am looking to flush the coolant, and wanted to know if I need to buy the coolant from Land Rover, or can I buy it at PepBoys. Which kind of coolant do I need to buy. Ioccasionally smell coolant when I get out of the truck. Where should I start at, I don't see any leaks.. Thanx in advance for the help.. Frank

You should use DexCool, the pink stuff. Double check what you have in the res tank to be sure though. Get the pre-mixed stuff (Prestone I believe) and you should be good to go. Take the truck and have the coolant system pressure tested to find the leaks.

Before you waste your money on the coolant find your leak first, you will need to drain it to fix the leak so why buy it twice?

If you are dong a complete flush and fill I recommend Peak Global Lifetime premixed, if you are topping off you must use DexCool.
Just make sure that you change it every two years no matter the miles.
