Default Coolant Exhaust Gas Test Kits

I've been searching locally for the coolant test strips that so many have spoken about but can seem to find them at any of the autopart stores.

I did find one Napa who had the strips but had no instruction so it wouldn't have done me much good.

I've found this kit on Amazon and was wondering if anyone has used it or had a kit I could purchase on-line that was similar and less expensive.

NAPA - see NAPA AUTO PARTS, some of the strips you see are for coolant freeze level and pH testing.

Looking for something cheaper. The strips would be great but I don't know if the strips that indicate PH condition would help me.

The kit you found on amazon I have seen in action and works amazingly well, for $50.00 buy it and sell it when your done. The fuild is only $10 a bottle you rent it out like people do with the ABS amigos. If I had questions $50.00 would be cheap for piece of mind.

So what is it you are wanting to test, the coolant level or exhaust leakage as in a chemical block testing kit?

And do you have other symptoms of leak, like loss of coolant, coolant sweet smell, white smoke from exhaust, overheating, rushing water and gurgle under dash ? Plus, that kit will test other vehicles beside Rovers, don't know shelf life of an opened bottle of the chemicals...

the strips you see at autoparts stores are to check the ph count of your antifreeze, unless they are marked otherwise. You are looking to check for a Combustion Leak Tester.
