Coolant flow question

Temps in the 190's with a 180 thermostat in a D2 is normal. You have a D1 with the thermostat in the engine where it belongs. Our's hang out in the open to make sure the temps are higher than they should be. I have a new radiator, fresh coolant and a 180 degree thermostat and my temps are 187 to 196. What D2 owners need is for someone to make a 170 degree thermostat so the engines run around 180.

Rover design is very simular to LS(X) motors, except for two things:
1. The LS design actually works without overheating the block.
2. The LS has the thermostat and bypass inside the waterpump housing.
