Coolant Going Somewhere?
On your list
4-expansion tank to trottle body hose
It's plastic with 2 hoses on each end
If I were you I would use a 5/16 hose insted,(need 5-6 feet) then there is no chance of it breaking later,
If you couldn't find a radiator hose that size (it's a rare size) ,, buy a high pressure fuel injection hose that can take up to 250* temp min, GATES makes them,
And you can never break it when moving expansion tank

This is good to know. I also bet it's cheaper than $20!

That plastic pipe breaks so easily it is ridiculous.
X2 on the flexible hose in place of the rigid ones. I found a "hose shop" that I'd never noticed in 48 years of driving right past it. I'd by 15 feet (it is cheap) and you can use the same on the line that goes from to tip top drivers side of the radiator across the front to the expansion tank.

Pressure test showed the leak tonight. I have a small leak between the head and the block. It's leaking pretty much just where I though it was. I'm going to order parts tomorrow, and get this fixed over the weekend. Thank you for all the help.
I looked for that size radiator hose, and had no luck. Found transmission cooing hose at Advance Auto and have it as backup. The fuel hose that PO had installed blew out pulling into the Auto part store(there for Rotella and filter). He said the transmission hose should be safe for that temp. We will see.
You never want to use a regular fuel hose, it can't take the high temp
If no coolant hose available, you can safely use the Trans cooler hose or
High pressure fuel injection hose that is rated 250* min,
I got a bright blue hose (there were several colors) that feels like silicon on the outside and has several layers. I'll see if I can find the receipt and tell you what it is. It was rated for heat and is very flexible. I've used it for years with no issues.
I was able to get 5/16 transmission hose last night. Got 12' for a little over $7. Ordered all my parts this morning, and should have them by Friday. Going to be a fun weekend!
You just need to replace the head gaskets.
Looks iike coolant is entering a cylinder and going out into one of the cats and ruining it.
You'll need to replace the cats now for sure - after the head gaskets.
Had this exact problem on my D1 block

I have whole write up on the cats.
Sorry - not the news you wanted.
Rovers are the "hope it is not" but "face truth" game.
