Default Coolant hose leak, no forward or reverse now

Getting ready to have the Disco towed to my mechanic to get a few things taken care of after I has the coolant hose that attaches to the thermostat spring a leak. Coolant sprayed all over the passenger side of the engine as I was limping home. Check engine light came on with a P0722 code, and M/S light also came on. The question is, what's on that side of the engine, sensor-wise, that could possibly cause the transmission not to engage? It just feels like it's in neutral, no matter what gear I'm in.

Examine the battery terminals and try and give the battery a charge. I know it sounds unrelated, but try that first. Also make sure the fusebox and that overall electrical area doesn't have some water pooled up somewhere.

Thinking it might be something like that. unfortunately, I busted up my right hand pretty good last weekend, and can't do any investigating myself. Pretty sure my mechanic will figure it out this week. I did start it up, which I discovered is hard to do left handed (LOL) and it felt like it wanted to go into reverse, but was still slipping.

Ended up being a blown transmission line.
