Default Diagnose coolant leak

Re: 2001 Disco II, 155k miles

The vehicle has a minor coolant leak that seems to be coming from the point where one of the hoses is connected to the reservoir (see photos). I've searched all over the engine and radiator for the source of the leak but the only thing I've been able to see is the actual liquid coming out right after the vehicle is driven and the engine is turned off.

The splatter pattern seems to be all over the place, but the hose winds down to a point right above the metal frame where the frame angles down on both sides, so the coolant travels along the frame and drips at several points.

1. Is this likely to be source of the leak? (the hose connected to the reservoir)

2. Or is this a symptom of something worse?

3. If the leak is coming from the hose, should it be entirely replaced? Or can the end be spliced off?

4. Is there anything special about this hose?

5. Or can you suggest something else?

thanks
Carl

In case anyone is interested, the reservoir was replaced and the leak stopped.

Surprising that it was leaking from the hose fitting. If you ever get any more coolant leaks, do a pressure test and you can easily verify the exact spot of a leak.

"Internal Leak!" Head Gasket {Get it Replaced ASAP} Could Warp the Head, Fail out the Spark Plugs, Leak into the Oil Pan- thin the Oil and Damage the Engine, Etc. No Driving if possible, other then to the Shop.

I came to approx. $165. This was for parts and labor.
The part was only the reservoir. I brought my own coolant. The labor included installation and pressure test.

I saw in car reviews that it could cost me about 300-400 bucks all in one.
