Default coolant leak

Just discovered 2 coolant leaks in my disco 1 '97, just in time for the long weekend. One seems to be a "seeping like leak" from upper left part of rad (driver's left) where there is a nut like attachment into which a transmission line with "o" ring threads into (coolant seeping from around the nut). Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

The other is coolant dripping from the upper right part of the front cover gasket (looking at engine from front of vehicle) where two bolts enter the block all the way from the water pump housing. The water pump is NOT leaking (replaced 2 years ago). Vehicle has 106,000 Kms or just over 60,000 miles.

Ideas and suggestions appreciated.

Default RE: coolant leak

My 01 was doing the same thing at 90k and it was the timing cover gasket, I just replaced it a few months ago. A word to the wise, have them install a new water pump while they're at it. They have to remove it to get to the cover so it will only cost you the price of the pump and everything will be under warrentee. You also might want to consider a new timming chain, it's early but they're gonna be right there working next to it. Good Luck js
