I just ordered one on ebay for $36, turns out it's from Lucky8. They are slow to ship, so give it a week or better to arrive or maybe call them directly.

Land Rover Discovery 2 II Range P38 Radiator Expansion Tank Reservoir PCF101410 | eBay

Note the date to receive is 7-14 days. I ordered mine last Friday and it is scheduled to arrive Tuesday of next week.

What I have always done is park my car in the drive (I have an incline) with the nose up. Or on ramps with the nose up. Remove the bleed screw from the T-fitting and keep it handy to close quickly. Unclip the reservoir from the body and gently lift the tank up until it is higher than the bleed screw hole. Now add coolant to the tank, until fluid steadily pours from the bleed hole. The idea is that you are forcing air out of the system with the truck COLD. You are bypassing the radiator and so this should clear the system.

If you still don't get hot air from the heater, with the car still nose up, I've run the truck a few moments (again, only COLD) to circulate water with the nose up and the bleed hole open to release air.

Gotta be cold engine and nose up.

as a matter of fact as you were typing this response I had already parked on an incline nose-up! I took the bolt out of the top of the radiator hose, hekd up expansion tank, added h2o through, and not only is the heat working excellent but I drove it around the block a few times and not one time did the temperature gauge rise. Unfortunately since I've moved to the outskirts of town and had to do a quick fix on my crack in my expansion tank, i used quick steel epoxy....how long will it hold? Trying to overnight an expansion tank now....applied 2 layers-an hour apart...37°outside....did test drive an 1 1/2 after last app...

don't trust that tank, especially with the temperature swing it will be experiencing

You may already know this, but don't rely at all on the temp gauge on the dash. It will not show you overheating until it's too late.

I have an OBDII scan gauge connected to monitor temps until I order an Ultra Gauge to permanently mount to monitor the truck. As they say here, the temp gauge on the dash is an ornament.
