Coolant Leak, Head Gaskets and ARP Stud Questions
#41
I know I've never seen that before. My guess would be some serious flush was put in there, and left in there. I would like to hear some of the other ideas, or if anyone knows for sure. My only other guess would be that a cheap or damaged gasket was used. I just took one apart that hardly had an actual gasket in it.

I am thinking I am in about the same boat as you. Pretty sure the front leak is coming from the Pan gasket and the rear passenger is the head gasket. I took a pic and would like some opinions...
won't hijack your thread as it is a good one.
How mechanical are you? and how many hours do you think you'll have in the job?

I realistically have 10-12 actual hours in it so far. The problem is I am only doing an hour or two at a time. I have not tore this far into an engine in over 20 years so I am taking it slow and driving my D1.....
