Have you tried connecting a test light, in series, between the two terminals on the connector? If the temp reading changes when you do that, the wiring and ECU are good. Meaning it's just the sensor. If not, it could be a pin fitment issue, corrosion in one of the connectors or something wrong with the ECU internally.

Disconnect the sensor and connect a bulb between the two wires on the connector. At the same time, watch the scan data for the temp. It should change if the wiring and ECU are good. I always use a bulb or a resistor. That way you're not dead shorting the wires together.
A lot of the time, on those small, two wire connectors that are close together. I'll take a 194 bulb and bend the wires down on the bulb. Then touch them to the pins in the connector. I hope that makes sense.

also this 2004 does have sai and the other sensor in bottom of radiator.... any thoughts?

got my light rigged up and im gonna go try it tonight alongalong with clearing obd2 code and see if i get any luck....just a thought arent these bulbs 12v bulbs and the most resistance i can achieve is 5v?
