Default cooler lines (oil and trans coolers)

Watch them. Had to replace the radiator which means all was disconnected in the process. After that job was done, cleaned and inspected everything, clicked them in place, tugged back and forth; all were solid. Drove the rover all day around and had no issues. no leaks nothing.

Then tonight a few miles from home i lose all gears and get some flashing dash lights that make no sense. quick look later i notice atf all over the road with the pass side atf cooler line just chilling next to rad puffing atf into the bumper. hooked it back up but as you know you can't just pour atf into one of these unless you carry a bunch of tools so i had to get it flatbedded home.

why couldn't rover come up with conventional line connections and not that spring loaded detent crap.

i think i read there are better line designs out there but are those for the D1 only?

I have a problem with those lines leaking. If there is a better design please let me know.
