In using used fan, check the mileage on the donating D2, and check the fan plastic for cracks/splits. I just ordered the Amazon Hayden fan clutch to install as insurance at 160K now, and having installed a new water pump recently as well. I will be adding a new fan to match here soon. I was able to get free shipping with Amazon prime. $60 total. Not sure I would go with a used fan, but to each their own, as long as you check it close. I think you can get a new one for $70 or so.

My 2003 fan is a two piece and Rimmer Brothers only list 2 piece fans for the V8 (although the TD5 is a 1 piece). In fact, every supplier I've looked at (including Rovers North) only lists 2 piece for the V8 and a new set of blades is $60-70 or so. It's the same as the item on the P38, I believe.

Both 03's here have one piece fan and clutch. Clutch will not separate from the fan blades but, most say if replacing go with the 2 piece so if the clutch goes out it can be replaced for much less than a complete unit.
