Did the recommended cooling system upgrade...What a difference this has made to my 2003 D2....
Hot and sunny in Milwaukee today...90+
Last week on stock system, similar weather, drove in all traffic condition,,185 to 221 degrees AC on..average 210 degrees
With upgrade ..Temps were 183 to 204 degrees..The average was 190.4
Using 185 stat...AC on
No issued ,,30 miles with 90+ outdoor temps....
Drove it last eve, 70 degrees outdoor temps...183 to 185...AC on 20 miles...

 

Did you do the inline mod or just the 185 degree thermostat?

Thanks! I need to do this one. My cooling system struggles at 95+ degrees. I’ve been thinking something is wrong, but my temps mirror what yours were.

 

Is there a how to for the inline mod? Maybe I just can't read but I didn't see it linked in the How To sticky post

 

Commenting on an old post to say that this post verified my coolant temps perfectly to the exact geographical location. Which is pretty cool.
