Because since the dawn of time everything made in the UK has been the biggest piece of **** made. The only reason LR is still around is because BMW threw every penny they had at the brand in the mid 90's. If it wasn't for the Germans LR would have went away like every other British manufacturer. (British Leyland, BSA, Triumph cars, Rover cars, Jenson, Sunbeam, AC, thats all I could think of off the top of my head, oh wait, Ariel, Norton...) I think it was the Lancaster bomber that couldn't take off in WW2 unless there was a stiff headwind. In fact 3/10 of the worst WW2 planes were British - The rest of the list is filled with equipment from other highly technologically advanced countries like Poland, Italy, and the USSR. I mean seriously, lucas, LUCAS.

I don't think anyone on this forum is afraid of British cars. I think the majority of us own one and enjoy them or we would not have them.
